Jordan Denounces Iranian Diplomat Over Regional Attacks

(MENAFN) Jordan’s Foreign Ministry on Sunday called in the charge d’affaires of the Iranian Embassy in Amman to issue a formal protest over missile and drone attacks targeting Jordan and other Arab nations, according to reports.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Fouad Al-Majali stated that Amman demanded an immediate cessation of the attacks, respect for Jordan’s sovereignty, and adherence to international law and the principles of good neighborliness. He emphasized that the country would take all necessary measures to protect its citizens and safeguard its territorial integrity.

Earlier on Sunday, Jordan’s Interior Ministry reported that 73 incidents involving falling debris and missile remnants were recorded across the country amid Tehran’s retaliatory strikes following Israeli and US operations. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
